A NOT SO HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR SOME
Yesterday at 6:30 my roommate, Melissa, left to go walk down the street to the store before getting ready for her New Years festivities. As she was walking out the door I said to her "don't get hit by a car. That would be a crappy way to start your year!" She's so disobedient!
Seven hours later we were back from the trauma center at UMC and creating a make-shift downstairs bedroom until she can get surgery on her broken leg next week.
She's such a sport! As she was laying in the examination room, surrounded by machines and sounds, I asked her if there was anything she wanted us to get ready for her at home. She said she just wanted to toast the New Years. We were an hour after midnight by the time we got around to it, but we celebrated it nevertheless! Cheers and Happy New Year from the Wildwood Glen Hospital!!
