GUILTLESS PLEASURES


I spent a year in an Asian country and never understood why they eat the foods that they eat. In fact, I almost boycotted the questionable items that found their way into our kitchen every once in a while. Some time ago while eating with friends at a Thai restaurant someone ordered Edemame and showed me how to scrape them out of the shell with your teeth. Who knew the curious food could be so fun to eat and taste good too. Friday night movies with a bowl of ice-cream? No thanks. I'll have some soy beans!!
